May people are happy with GoDaddy, but we find their system hard to use and get tired of the endless "In your Face" marketing.

We buy our web hosting services from HostPC. They have a starter package for $22.95/yr. that provides 1.5 gigabytes of storage and more bandwidth then you are ever likely to need. You can use the account to host as many domains as you want and it comes with a site builder package and tutorial to help you get started.
